Is it really free?
Yes. Unlimited shifts, your state's overtime math, the calendar, the time clock, tips logging, your expected paycheck, CSV export and backup are free, with no caps and no ads. Premium is optional.
How does it work out my paycheck?
From the shifts you log, your hourly rate, your state's overtime rules, your clock-rounding setting, any differentials and the card tips paid through payroll. It shows gross pay before taxes, with the math for every line.
Does it show take-home pay?
It can estimate take-home with a flat percentage you set. It does not use real tax tables, so treat that number as a rough guide. The paycheck check compares gross pay, which is the line that should match your stub.
Does it work for my state?
It works in every US state. Every state gets the federal rule (time and a half after 40 hours a week). California, Alaska, Nevada, Colorado and Kentucky also get their daily or 7th-day rules. If your job has its own overtime setup, you can edit the thresholds.
My paycheck is short. What do I do?
First check the pay period dates, unpaid breaks, clock rounding and whether your card tips go through payroll. If it's still short, the app lets you copy a plain note for your manager or export your shifts. For a dispute, your state labor department can help. This app is a record-keeping tool, not legal or tax advice.
Can my employer see my data?
No. There is no account and no server holding your shifts. Your data stays on your iPhone and, if you turn it on, in your own iCloud.
What happens to my data if I get a new phone?
With iCloud on, your shifts come back on the new phone. Settings shows how many shifts are backed up and when it last synced. You can also export a CSV any time.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Honest Paycheck is for iPhone for now.
