Honest Paycheck Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026. Applies to the Honest Paycheck app for iPhone and iPad.

Your hours, pay and tips are yours. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not run servers that store it.

What stays on your device

• Your jobs: names, pay rates, overtime rules, differentials, pay periods and paydays.
• Your shifts: clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, tips, tip-outs, mileage and notes.
• Paycheck Check results: the gross pay and hours you enter from your paycheck.
• Your settings and reminder preferences.

When iCloud backup is available in Honest Paycheck (coming in an update) and turned on for it on your device, this data is also kept in your own private iCloud account so it survives a new phone. Apple stores it; we cannot see it.

What leaves your device

• Purchases. Premium is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple ID details.
• Files you export. CSV and PDF exports go only where you send them from the share sheet.
• Siri and Shortcuts. If you use the app's shortcuts (clock in, clock out, earned this week), Apple's privacy terms for Siri apply.

The app does not use your location.

Notifications

Trial and payday reminders are local notifications created on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.

Exporting and deleting your data

You can export your shifts as CSV at any time, on the free plan. Deleting a shift or job removes it from the app and from your iCloud copy. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device; to remove the iCloud copy too, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your iPhone.

Not legal or tax advice

Honest Paycheck estimates gross pay from the hours and rules you enter. It is a record-keeping tool, not legal, tax or payroll advice.

This website and the beta list

If you join the beta or launch list on this website, our form service (Formspree) stores your email address for us, and we use it only to tell you about the beta and the launch; and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to support@honestpaycheck.com. We never share or sell it. The website has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies.

Children

Honest Paycheck does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and describe the change in the release notes.
